Edgar Bernard Benton on the Alabama Deaths record, Edgar on the Marriage Record and most of the Census records: so I am not sure why Edward is on the headstone. The only time that Edward shows up is on the father's name on his son Henry Franklin Benton's death record. He was known as Edgar or Ed or Edy on all records during his lifetime.
