EDWARD A. STONER
Edward Andrew Stoner was born in Mercerburg [sic] , Pa., April 4, 1855, and died at this home in Sutton Sunday afternoon, May 19, 1929. He came to Sutton in the late '70's, where he has made his home most of the time since. For nearly fifty-four years he has worked at his trade as tinner, and up to about four weeks agao had been at his bench n the Wenzlaff & Weston tinshop. Heart trouble caused his failing health the past few months and brough death will sitting in a chair at his home Sunday afternoon. He leaves a wife, three grown children and several grandchildren.

The funeral was held from the Kohler chapel Tuesday afternnon, business being suspended during the service, which was conducted by Rev. Schmidt. The song service was by Mrs. Kohler, Mrs. Spielman, G. E. Swanson and O. B. Whitlock. R. M. Mecham, R. F. Grosshans, C. W. Reger, F. E. Weston, H. F. Grosshans and H. C. Griess were the bearers of this pioneer to his resting place in the Sutton cemetery.
