Mrs. Ellen Gaule Dies Here This Morning
Mrs. Ellen Gaule, 85, wife of the late Lawrence Gaule and longtime Atlantic resident, died at 6;35 this morning at the Atlantic Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient 23 days. She had been in failing health two years.

Mrs. Gaule, the daughter of William and Margaret Redding Rourick was born at Wheatland, IA., Sep 11, 1866 and moved with her parents to a farm northeast of Atlantic when a small girl, She was married to Mr. Gaule and lived on a farm north of Atlantic until his death, when she moved to
Lincoln, Nebraska, where she lived a number of years before returning to Atlantic. She was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Alter and Rosary society.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. A.J. O'Dea of West Des Moines; a brother William Rourick of Bridgewater; three grandsons, Robert O'Dea of Minneapolis, Lyle W. O'Dea of West Des Moines, and Clifford O'Dea of San Francisco; a granddaughter, Gladys O'Dea of Des Moines and one great-grandson Jimmie O'Dea.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Msgr. P.N. McDermoit officiating and interment will be at the Roland, Peacock and Baxter funeral home until the services hour and the Rosary will be recited there this evening and Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock
