He was the father of 16 children and was the first to die of his family. He was never known to be sick enough to stop work until about a month before his death. He was one of the old types of our early pioneers, to be truthful and honest was his watchword. He was married in this county more than fifty years ago to a Miss THOMPSON. For a number of years he lived in Alabama but moved back to his home of his death about 10 years ago. He was the father of Mr. J. W.
