Jesse Kenneth Shear was the second son and seventh child of John William Shear and Myra Lake Shear.

Jesse served his country by serving stateside during WWII. He received a honorable discharge in 1942.

Jesse married Virginia Belle Waterman in LaGrange, Lewis Co, Missouri on June 28, 1942. Together they had a daughter, Beverly and a son Paul.

Jesse and Virginia were married 57 years and their son gave them a granddaughter for whom they cherished and doted on.
