Ralph V. Carpenter, 92, Brighton Hall Nursing Center, New Haven, died Sunday in the center. Born in Wauneta, Neb., Mr. Carpenter had been a resident of Marion from 1951 until moving to Fort Wayne in 1982.


He was a former nursing assistant at the Marion VA Medical Center and was a member of the Lakeview Wesleyan Church, Marion.


He is survived by a son, Doyle, Fort Wayne; three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Gwendolyn) Egle, Marion, Mrs. Harold (Arlene) Kimpel, Hicksville, Ohio, and Mrs. Bob (Eldred) Cobb, Stratton, Neb:; 11 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.


Services were held at Raven Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, with Rev. Eugene Cockrell officiating. Burial was made in Grant Memorial Park cemetery, Marion.
