Fletcher Kirkpatrick Perrow, Jr., of Locust Hill Farm in Hurt, died Wednesday, June 3, 1992 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Epps Turner Perrow.
Born in Anniston, Alabama, on March 28, 1906, he was the son of the late Fletcher Kirkpatrick Perrow, Sr. and Elizabeth Stone Perrow. Mr. Perrow was a member of the SAE Fraternity at Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Ala., where he received a bachelor of science degree. He then earned a master of economics degree from Columbia University in New York City, where he worked for the Wall Street firm of Post and Flagg until he returned to his family home, "Locust Hill," to reside until his death.
Mr. Perrow was active in the local business community and for many years was the producer of "Old Dominion" Wax Products. He was a member of Lane Memorial United Methodist Church in Altavista and the Altavista chapter of Rotary International, of which he was a Paul Harris Fellow.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. James B.S. Perrow of Lynchburg, husband of Martha T. Perrow.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Fletcher Kirkpatrick [Kirk] Perrow III of Washington, D.C., his son, Edgar J.T. [Ned] Perrow and his wife, Florence Adams Perrow, and their sons, Edgar J.T. [Turner] Perrow, Jr. and Nathaniel Floyd [Nat] Perrow, all of Galt's Mill, Va., and his sister, Elizabeth [Dedie] Perrow Adamson of Richmond.
Graveside services will be conducted at Locust Hill Farm at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, by the Rev. James Tongue.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to make a contribution consider Lane Memorial United Methodist Church, the Altavista Life Saving Crew, or the charity of your choice.
