STONEVILLE - Mrs. Mary Lenora Goolsby Shelton, 93, formerly of Highway 770, died Tuesday, March 5, 1996, at the home of her daughter in Eden.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Madison. Burial will be in the Comers Chapel Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Shelton was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County, was retired from Eans Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Stoneville First Baptist Church, and a homemaker.

Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Shelton and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Richard Wray of Eden; sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence "Jack" and Betsy Shelton, Charles W. and Louise Shelton, Elbert Neil and Debra Shelton all of Stoneville, Paul K. and Ann Shelton of Vail, Ariz.; and Bruce L. and Shirley Shelton of Eden; two sisters, Berta Newnam of Stokesdale and Laura Holt of Mayodan; fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 p.m. at the Ray Funeral Home in Madison and all other times at the home of Lois and Richard Wray at 627 Roberts Road in Eden.
