Edd Waymon White, 85 son of the late Jim Robert White and Sara Bennett White, was born Apr 4, 1887 in Adair County, and departed this life Mar 23, 1973 at the Hardin County Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky. He was a member of the Mt. Gilead Christian Church. He was a retired farmer and operated a taxi service in Greensburg for several years. He united in marriage to Louella Beard in 1906 and she preceded him in death in 1941. To this union was born two sons and four daughters, surviving are: James Alfred White, Hart County, Will Ed White, Louisville; Mrs. Gladys Acree and Mrs. Ann Wiegel, both of Greensburg, Mrs. Mary Katherine Ham, Shepherdsville and Mrs. Irene Marr who preceded her father in death. He later united in marriage to Mrs. Ida Stephens, Mar 17, 1942 who survives. Mrs. White is survived by two step-sons: Linberg Stephens, Missouri; Roger Stephens, FL.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Clara Mitchell and Kay Curry both of Greensburg and Mrs Ada Davis of California: 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Mar 25, 1973 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Hogards Chapel Cemetery. Rev. James Jones and Rev. Jimmie Knifley officiated. Pallbearers were Alonzo Curry, Willie F. Parsons, Grover Smith, Abel Beard, James Wilson and O. D. Parson.
