Lucile P. Vaughn Garland, age 79, departed this life on Wednesday, April 25 [1990] at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was born in Green County on January 27, 1911 to the late Henry Vaughn and Lena Perkins Vaughn. She is survived by three sons: John Hicks of South Carolina, C.W. Hicks of North Carolina and Tom Hicks of Oklahoma; one brother: Albert Vaughn of Louisville; two sisters: Alice Goff of Greensburg and Edith Smith of Virginia; nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 27, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Paul Smith and Bro. Garland Wilcoxson officiated over the service with music provided by Miss Betty Jo Larimore. Pallbearers were Gordon Milby, Weldon Thompson, Adolphus Holland, Kenneth GofF, James Harmon and Brad Burriss.
