MILDRED THOMSON, 80

Mildred Thomson, 80, of Blair died on Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at Crowell Memorial Home. Services were Monday, Oct. 19, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, in charge of arrangements.

Mildred Hovendick was born Aug. 31, 1918, at Atlantic, Iowa, to John and Mabel (Bouvier) Hovendick. She graduated from Blair High School in 1935.

On May 4, 1946, she married John Thomson.

She lived in Dixon, Calif. for 49 years and served as the City Clerk. She was a member of the Dixon Community Church where she served as a deacon and belonged to the church choir.

She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and of the Eastern Star.

Mr. Thomson died in December of 1994.

She moved to Blair in 1995 to be near her family. She is survived by her sister, Mary Sutherland of Blair; nine nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; two brothers, Raymond and Carl Hovendick and one niece.

Memorials may be directed to the building fund of First Christian Church in Blair.
