Chief Master Sergeant Ret. Albert C. Hopf, 87, of Greenville, husband of Constance Hopf, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012.

Born in Belmont, NY, he was a son of the late Charles and Martha Hopf.

Mr. Hopf was a highly decorated U.S. Air Force WWII veteran in the CBI Theater and retired from G.E. Gas Turbine. He was a member of Church of the Redeemer, and American Leigon; VFW. Mr. Hopf loved his family.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 64 years, are a daughter, Tammy Gerber and husband, Jeffrey, of Simpsonville; two sons, Richard Hopf and wife, Betty, of Simpsonville and Gary Hopf of Tajikastan, Central Asia; two grandchildren, Natasha L. Higgins and Patrick A. Hopf; and two great grandchildren, Avery Rose Higgins and Naomi Rae Higgins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Rudolph Hopf.

Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30pm on Monday, Dec 10, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum Chapel. A memorial service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Doctors Without Borders USA, PO Box 5030 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5030.
