He and his wife had a total of 4 children. The first born child was Barbara Jean Evans born on March 19, 1930. The second child, Nancy J Evans was born on December 27, 1933. The third child Carol Evans was born on December 31, 1936 and the last child born was James A Evans on April 07, 1940.
In 1943 or 1944, the family had moved to Fontana, San Bernardino County, California, USA to be with Donald William Evans parents James Latshaw Evans and Catherine Florence Evans.
Shortly after his arrival in Fontana, he landed a job at Kaiser Steel. The Steel Mill was busy manufacturing steel for the war effort during World War II.
The family purchased their first home in Fontana, San Bernardino County, California, USA on Merrill Avenue.
Unfortunately, Donald William Evans health deteriorated rapidly and he left us at a very young age of 51 years of age on February 19, 1957, due to issues with his heart.
Although, I am his grandson, I never knew him because I was born in 1960. He must have been a very kind and generous family man. At the time he was survived by his wife of almost 28 years Alice Rose Scanlon Evans and 4 beautiful children, one of which is my father James A Evans.
