DANIEL D. WALTER OGDEN -
Daniel D. Walter, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 1996 at McKay-Dee Hospital of causes incident to age. He was born Jan. 21, 1909, at Edmond, Oklahoma, the eighth of eleven children of Joseph Henry and Ella Smith Walter.

Daniel married Evelyn Woodruff, in Wellston, Oklahoma, on Dec. 15, 1935. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 18, 1957. He was raised in Oklahoma. After marriage, he continued to pursue the auto body and fender trade in Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Utah. The family moved to Salt Lake City in 1962 and then to Ogden where they have lived since 1969. He retired from Ogden Auto Body in 1981. Dan and his wife and son were proselyted by full time missionaries and joined the LDS Church in 1955, while living in Cheyenne, Wyo. He served faithfully in numerous ward and priesthood callings and as a temple worker. He was a member of the Ogden 33rd Ward.

Surviving are his wife Evelyn and his son and daughter-in-law, Roger Kenneth and Zora Walter, all of Ogden. Also surviving is his nephew, Charles Walter of Syracuse and his family who were especially close to him. He was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. at Larkin and Sons Mortuary, 496 24th Street, in Ogden. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment and graveside services will be held immediately after the funeral at the Ogden City Cemetery.
