John F. Nunley, Jr., 87, died Monday, January 7, 2013 in Azle. A graveside funeral will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain Home Cemetery in Jack County, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

John was born February 15, 1925 in Orange, California to the late John Francis and Julia M. Nunley, Sr. He married Bobbie Phillips, July 27, 1946 in Graham. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2008. John was a veteran of the United States Navy serving as a Boatman 2nd Class. John was a self employed convenience store owner in Graham for many years.

Survivors include: nieces, Earlene Lawrence of Houston and Beverly Mott of Midland; nephews, Glen Phillips of Amarillo, Gary Don Sheets of Haslet, and George and Lynette Phillips of Ringling, OK ; great niece, Andrea Sheets Sears of Fort Worth; great nephew, Sam Sheets of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Jean Box of Midland.
