Born in West Hanover Township, he was the son of Harvey C. and Lillie (Nye) Mumma.
He retired from Hershey Chocolate Company Steel Rolls Department and was a World War II Infantry Veteran. He was a life member of P.O.S. of A. State Chapter and a member of Mt. Laurel Church of God, Piketown.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Beatrice (Wolfe) Mumma; a daughter, Linda P. Mills, wife of Rev. Terry A. Mills; a granddaughter, Rebecca E. VonNieda, wife of Terry L. VonNieda. He is also survived by a brother, Earl E. Mumma and a sister, Eva Dorman, both of West Hanover Township.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at Buse Funeral Home, with Pastor Terry Mills, officiating. Burial will be private.
