Mrs. Margaret A. Beisel, 93, long time resident of South Williamsport, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Beisel was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church at South Williamsport. She retired from the South Williamsport School District where she had taught elementary school.

She was a graduate of the former Lock Haven State Teachers College, now Lock Haven University.

Margaret was the widow of the late Daniel Lloyd Beisel. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 2004.

Born Sept. 14, 1919, at Hillsgrove, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Sarah (Wood) Priest.

Margaret enjoyed reading, flower and vegetable gardening and her card club which she was a member of for more than 60 years.

Mrs. Beisel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard P. and Bobbie Beisel of Lakewood, Ohio; her two granddaughters, Lisa (Gerry) Beisel-Linn of Lakewood, Ohio and Megan (Bill) Allford of Lakewood, Ohio. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Rose, Sam, Jaden and Gavin.

In addition to her late parents and her late husband, she was also preceded in death by her late sister, Elizabeth Priest.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport. Her pastor, Rev. Susan P. Lynch, will officiate. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Hughesville.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, PA 17702.
