Laura was the oldest child of John P and Ruth Kent. She was married to Thomas Gulley January 3rd 1882 in Lincoln County Tennessee. He died in about 1902. She married Travis Howell August 24th 1905 in Tennessee. She had one son, Thomas Gulley. She died June 23rd 1914 in Fayetteville from Tuberculosis. Laura is buried with a lot of her family in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
