William L. Hamilton, 83, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Hamilton was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Tharptown Baptist Church. He was a retired school bus driver and farmer.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel, Russellville, with Josh Miller officiating. Burial will be in Tharptown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1-3 p.m. today.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Hamilton; children, Jerry Hamilton and Charlotte Seay, both of Russellville; brother, Dossie Hamilton, Grand Terrace, Calif.; sister, Opal Fisher, Russellville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Lane, Ben Fisher, John Tarascou, Phillip Sparks, Tim Hamilton and Ken Hamilton.
Honorary bearers will be the Senior Men's Sunday School Class at Tharptown Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Willie Mae Hamilton; brothers, Cecil Hamilton and Odis Hamilton; sister, Meathel Hatton.
