Born in Perry on August 8, 1902, he was a son of Walter and Margaret Bacon Buckland. On October, 6, 1927, he married the former Eloise Smallwood who survives.
He was a farmer, Watkins Company dealer, and caretaker of the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Gary Buckland of North Chili; a daughter, Gail Buckland of Rushford, with whom he had resided; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a brother Noble Buckland of Perry Center.
