`Mrs. Irene Elaine Dinges, 61, of Stanley, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, Dec. 29, 2012, at the Winchester Medical Center, where she had been admitted Friday.

She was born Oct. 6. 1951, in Page County, and was a daughter of the late Saul Joseph and Edith Mae Dallas Thomas.

Mrs. Dinges was a homemaker and had attended the New Market Lighthouse Tabernacle.

Irene is survived by her husband, Clyde Franklin Dinges; a daughter, Penny Foster and her husband, Timmy, of Stanley; a son, Kevin Dinges and his fiancée, Cassie, of Stanley; two sisters, Magaline Jenkins and Evon Hilliards, both of Stanley; a brother, Howard Thomas of Stanley and two grandsons, T.J. Foster and Waylon Dinges.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; an infant brother, and Ricky, Jerry and John Thomas and a sister, Charlotte Jenkins.

The Rev. Charles Clinedinst will conduct a funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church near Stanley. Interment will follow at the McCoy Cemetery near Stanley.

Irene will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. today, where friends may call and where the family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Wednesday.
