Cleo Mae Springer, 78, of Humansville passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Big Spring Care Center, Humansville. Cleo was one of 10 children born to Charles Wesley and Juliann Wilcox Ball in Eureka, Kansas. Her family moved to Humansville when Cleo was very young and she was a graduate of Humansville High School.

After graduation Cleo moved to Warrensburg, Missouri and it was there she met her husband Charles. They were married on July 16, 1955, and were married for 56 years. Cleo worked for Monsanto in St. Peters, Missouri before retiring in 1985. She and Charles moved back to Humansville in 1993 from O'Fallon. She loved to fish and camp with her family and extended family; she and Charles enjoyed taking rides through the woods on the tractor. Cleo loved babysitting her grandchildren and was excited to become a great-grandmother this past June.

She was a very good cook and as long as her health permitted was very involved with the First Baptist Church of Humansville. Cleo was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, and 7 of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Kennedy of Humansville; sons William E. Springer and his wife Cindy of Lake St. Louis and Barchey R. Springer and his wife Michelle of Dardene Prairie, Missouri; daughter Anna Springer of St. Peters, Missouri; brother Jesse Ball and his wife Clara of Raytown and sister Anna June Tate of Warrensburg, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 7 PM Monday, September 24, 2012, at Murray Funeral Home, Humansville with visitation from 5-7 PM prior to the service. Gravesite services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, September 25 at the St. Charles Memorial Gardens, St. Charles, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association or CMH Hospice, Bolivar, Missouri. Online condolences may be submitted to www.murrayfuneralhomes.com.
