MABELLE FLORENCE NEWELL, 90, of Fort Smith died Thursday, December 1, 1994, in Fort Smith. She was a retired teacher and member of the First Methodist Church and Delta Kappa Gamma. She taught in Morrilton and Sutton Elementary in Fort Smith and was the widow of Brent B. Newell.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. December 5 at the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Putnam Funeral Home. The body was cremated.
She is survived by two sons, Joe of Fort Smith and Mike of Hot Springs; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
