She professed faith in Christ in early life and was baptized into the fellowship of the Mt. Salem church by Rev. S. Y. Pitts. She retained a member of this church til death, and lived a consistent Christian life until God called her home.
On June 30, 1897 she was married to Rev. J. H. Lynn. To this union two children were born, Rev. Lewis H. Lynn of La Grange, Missouri and Mrs. Mallie Irene Lynn Swetnam of the home.
She leaves to mourn her going, her husband and two children as named above, two step daughters, Mrs. Babe Hunt of Huntsville, and Mrs. Alvin Gooding of Cairo, Mo., three grandchildren, four step- grandchildren and five great step-grandchildren. Also one sister, Mrs. Will Clifton of Huntsville, and three brothers, Willie Vaughn of Huntsville, Lute Vaughn of Clifton Hill; and Robert Vaughn of Kansas City, Mo., besided a number of nieces, and nephews and other relatives and friends.
We will miss you, Mother dear, since you have gone away, but we want to come and meet you where the night will all be day.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Saturday afternoon, March 31, 1928, conducted by Rev. Davidson, assisted by Rev. P. F. Sears. Burial at the Huntsville cemetery.
