Jennie and Jacob were married on 26 February 1877 in Lake City, Hinsdale County, Colorado. Jennie and Jacob had seven children. They were: Margaret Farrington Abbott was born on 06 August 1878; James Dudley Abbott was born on 03 July 1880; Edward Farrington Abbott was born on 03 April 1882; Jacob Jackson Abbott was born on 09 July 1883; Catherine Whitin Abbott was born on 03 November 1887; Charles Cushman Abbott was born on 12 September 1889; and Dorothy Abbott was born on 04 August 1894. All the children were born in Lake City, Hinsdale County, Colorado.
