NORMAN L. BECKER, 81 ROCKFORD - Norman L. "Norm" Becker, 81, of Rockford died at 4:36 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. Born Dec. 13, 1931, in Rockford, son of Lester and Dorothy (Seaver) Becker. Graduate of East High School. Served in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He married Janis Sandine on Sept. 15, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockford; they spent the next 61 years together as husband and wife. Norm was a wholesale florist representative for E.O. Brody Company. He and Janis owned and operated Norjan Inc., a floral supply company, for more than 24 years. He was a Rockford firefighter for five years and served as the Village of Winnebago Police chief. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a Mason and a Shriner. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park.
