GLENNVILLE/ ANDERSON, SC - Bonaceva Bonnie Baker Akins, 93, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 in Anderson South Carolina.

She was born in Glennville February 26, 1919 to James D. and Ruby Kicklighter Baker and lived in Glennville and Ft. Myers, Florida for many years before moving to South Carolina several years ago.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Renford Norman Akins She is survived by children, James (J.R.) Renford Akins and wife Angela of Lakeland Florida, Virginia Ann Voss and husband Roy of McAlpin, Florida, Linda Marie Cochenour and husband Robert of Lake City, Florida, Geraldine Jeri Mitchell and husband George of Pendleton, SC, Norman Wayne Akins of Ocala, Florida; Sisters, Jackie O'Neal of Hinesville, Nancile O'Connor of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Anglynn Anderson of Reidsville, Georgia; Brother, Jerrell Baker of Glennville, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 A.M., Monday, January 7, 2013 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
