S.M. ABRAMS,
DIES SUDDENLY

Samuel M. Abrams, aged 57, a
known resident of this city for the
past 33 years, died suddenly yester-
day morning at 9:45 o'clock. Mr.
Abrams had been in ill health for
the past three weeks, but his condition
had not been regarded as serious.
Mr. Abrams was born in Ramelton.
Venango county, June 8, 1874, and
came to this city in 1898. He conducted
a barber shop.
He was a member of the Ben Hur
Lodge, of which he had been scribe
for the past 28 years. He was also a
member of Tuna Lodge No. 411. In-
dependent Order of Odd Fellows;
Knights of Pythias; Barbers Union,
No. 124; Modern Woodman of Am-
erica; and the First Methodist
church.
Mr. Abrams is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Esther Abrams; two sons Glenn
and Robert Abrams, of this city;
three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Costello,
Conneautville, Pa.; Mrs. J. W. Lackey
and Mrs. W. H. Jones, both of Los
Angeles, Cal.; two brothers, Aaron
Abrams of Bradford and Frank
Abrams of Cleveland.
The body was taken in charge by
Funeral Director Frank J. McAllis-
ter.
Arrangements for the funeral,
which will be held at the residence,
have not been completed.
