Funeral services for Edwin S. Govett, 92, of 1650 San Pablo Avenue, will be held at 3 PM tomorrow in the John N Lisle Chapel. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Monday.
Govett died Friday in a local convalescent home. He was born in England and had lived in Fresno County 54 years. Before his retirement, 18 years ago, he owned and farmed a grape vineyard in the Rolinda area. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Methodist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Heppie Cobb of Fresno and Mrs. Bonnie Martin of Madera; a son, Johnson Govett of San Jose; a sister, Mrs. Ida Hudson of Fresno and eight grandchildren.
