Services for Reuben Johnson, 58, Caldwell, Route 4, who died Thursday afternoon in a Caldwell hospital, will be held Monday at 2 pm at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis chapel. Dr. HH Hayman and President Joe Ison will officiate. Interment at Canyon Hill will be directed by the IOOF Lodge of Caldwell.

Mr. Johnson was superintendent of the Caldwell branch experiment station.

He was born May 2, 1899, in Idaho Falls, and was reared there, enrolling at the University of Idaho in 1918 and receiving his degree in 1921. He worked at the state farm in Blackfoot and moved to Caldwell in 1925 where he worked at the U of I experiment station until his death. He was married to Christine Hegstad in Pocatello Aug 11, 1923.

Mr. Johnson was in the Army ROTC in 1918 and was a member of the LDS church, a past member and grandmaster of the IOOF lodge here, member and past president of the Kiwanis club, and a member and past commander of the American Legion.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of Caldwell, include a son, Reuben Johnson, Jr. Spokane; two daughters, Mrs. RH Rhodes, Spokane, and Helen Johnson, Los Angeles; six brothers, Carl, Blackfoot, A L, Harlen, Mont., Clarence, Vernon, and Oscar, Idaho Falls, and Ambrose Johnson, Boise, three sisters, Mrs. LeRoy Blaylock, Ogden, Utah, Mrs. Rhoda Hampton, Idaho Falls, and Sophia Johnson, Idaho Falls, and three grandchildren.
