Violet Mae Clark of Jonas Ridge passed away on Thursday July 10, 2008 at her residence.
She was born a daughter of the late Joseph Enoch and Edna Coffee Clark.
Violet attended the Linville Methodist Church and enjoyed listening to gospel music. She also loved to cook, sew and garden.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Claude Clark.
Left to carry on her memory are her two daughters, Rita Bentley and husband Paul of Newland, Cara Clark Carver and husband Joe of Elk Park; her son, Omer Clark of Roseboro; sister, Bonnie Cook and husband Sherman of Hickory; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be held on Friday July 11th at 8:00 p.m. in the Grandfather Chapel at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Harper and Boyd Biggerstaff will officiate.
Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 12th at the Calloway Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be; Claude Carver, David and Daniel Clark, Darrell Clark, Matthew Bentley and John Mark Bentley.
Memorials may be made to the Avery County Hospice.
