Annie was the daughter of John Wesley Dixon and Rosa Turner Dixon and the younger sister of Esther Lee Dixon. She and Esther married brothers, Annie married Henderson Lee Beale, and Eshter married John Addison Beale. After Henderson's death Annie married Frank Allen Crumpler who had been married to Eunice Beale, one of Henderson's sisters.
Annie and Henderson had four children: Henderson Jr., Nellie, Phyllis and Joyce. Annie loved to fish. She worked for 22 years at the Paul H. Rose Center as a salesperson until she retired. She was a member of the Burrows Memorial Baptist Church and the President of her Sunday School Class. Her funeral was at Hollomon Brown Funeral Home at the Tidewater Drive Chapel in Norfolk, the service was was Pastor Don Harris, Rev. Paul J. Eure, and Rev. Aubrey May and she was burried next to Henderson in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Virginia Beach. Only 11 days after Annie passed, her older sister Esther passed away.
