Harriette Anne Firkin Johnson, 86, of Wildway Road, Appomattox County, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the widow of William Nelson Johnson. Harriette was born in Amherst Co., September 13, 1926 a daughter of the late Caled Firkin and Maggie Morton Firkin. She was a homemaker and member of Spears Mountain Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina J. Smith and her husband, Lynn Allen of Appomattox, two grandchildren, Larsen Smith and Stacie Balaguer and her husband, Ivan of Chesterfield. She was preceded in death by a son, James Carrol Wood and nine brothers. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Odell Coggins. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to the Animal Welfare Action Group (AWAG), P.O. Box 37, Appomattox, VA 24522.
