Lore Alford, 73, of 216 Murray Rd., president of the Atlantic Title Co., died at a local hospital Tuesday evening following an extended illness.
He came to West Palm Beach in 1926 from Waterloo, Iowa, where he owned and operated a title company. He graduated from the University of Iowa with an LLB degree, and, was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
Mr. Alford, who up until his death was a member of the board of directors of the Atlantic Title Co., belonged to the Tuscawllla Club. He was a former member of the West Palm Beach Rotary Club, and was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his son, Ricker S. Alford; a grandson, Ricker S. Alford, Jr., and a graddaughter, Nina Ricker Alford, all of this city.
His wife, Mrs. Nina Ricker Alford, preceeded him in death on Sept. 12, 1949.
Mizell-Simon-Faville Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
