Mrs. Emma B. Bell, 83, of 123 W. 5th, died Sunday while visiting in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Carrie) Walker, in Philadelphia.

Born March, 1889, she was the daughter of Joseph and Carrie Woodruff Sr. She was married to Frank Bell Sr., who died in 1936.

She was a member of Bethel Fire Baptized Holiness Church, Norval Avenue.

Also surviving are three other daughters, Mrs. Rufus (Katie) Jones, Mrs. Winona Hodges and Mrs. Samuel (Elizabeth) Rice, all of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, Frank Bell Jr. of 516 S. Baxter and Alfred Bell of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Webb of Detroit; a brother, Joseph Woodruff Jr. of St. Louis, Mo.; 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday 1 p.m. in Bethel Fire Baptized Holiness Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at Jones Brothers Mortuary Thursday noon until 10 a.m. Friday when the body will be taken to the church.
