Jr., age 63 formerly of
Wrightsville will be held at 2
p.m. on Saturday, January 5,
2013 in the Chan Stanley
Memorial Chapel of Stanley
Funeral Home and Crematory,
with interment to follow at
Westview Cemetery in
Wrightsville. Rev. Gary Cobb
will officiate.
Mr. Mixon was born on August
2, 1949 in Wrightsville,
Georgia. He was the son of the
late George Lenton Mixon, Sr.
and Ruby Lumley Mixon. He
attended Johnson County
High School and graduated in
1967. After two years of college
he joined the United
States Marine Corps until he
was honorably discharged.
Until his passing, G.L. worked
for Greentree Services LLC in
Raleigh, NC as a Field Rep.
for Manufactured Repos. He
was a member of First Church
of the Nazarene. Mr. Mixon
passed away on Monday, December
31, 2012.
The family will receive
friends from noon until 2 p.m.
on Saturday, January 5, 2013
at the funeral home.
