Services for Noah Jackson Greer, 94, 217 Hillcrest Streeat, Rogersville, were conducted 11 am April 4 in East Rogersville Baptist Church with the Revs. John Parrott Jr. and Roy Edd Shanks officiating.

A lifelong resident of Hawkins County, he was a retired farmer and building contractor.

He was a charter member of East Rogersville Baptist Church, where he helpede build the auditorium and later the educational building.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ressie Dykes Greer; his parents, Joel and Lucy Greer; two sons, Noah Greer, Jr., and K.D. Greer; five sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are four sons, Virgil L. Greer, Kingsport, Clifford Greer, Maurice Greer, and Harry Greer, all of Rogersville; five daugthers, Mrs. William C. (Eileen) Mowl, Delevan, IL, Mrs. John (Frances) Hensley Fiener, South Bend, IN, Mrs. Claude (Helen) Self, Mrs. George K. (Mary Jo) Shanks, and Mrs. Roy E. (Betty Ruth) Shanks, all of Rogersville; two sisters, Lizzie Lee Greer and Bobbie Greer Kersey, both of Rogersville; one brother, Curry Greer, Ellicot, MD; 30 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers. Interment was in Highland Cemetery.
