Mrs. Prickett was born in Iowa township, Crawford county, Iowa, Dec. 27, 1891, a daughter of Henry and Mary Hagedorn, both of whom are now deceased. Her maiden name was Rose Hagedorn. In 1910 she married Herman Kusel. They farmed near Manning and also in Minnesota before locating in Lake City, where they operated a creamery. Her marriage to Mr. Prickett took place in Lake City in 1922.
Besides her husand, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Varn Austin (Rena), Eugene, Ore.; Mrs. Kenneth Moss (Vera), Medford, Ore., and Maxine Prickett, Manning; and three grandchildren. Other survivors are a sister: Mrs. Herman Koester (Mary), and seven brothers: Gus, William, Otto and Henry Hagedorn, Manning; Herman, Pontiac, Mich.; Louis, Aspinwall, and John, Des Moines. A sister and brother, Mrs. Chris Petersen and Charles Hagedorn, are deceased. Mrs. Prickett was baptised in the Lutheran faith.
