Miss Francis(sic) Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.N. Allen on North Hill, died Tuesday night at 12 o'clock at the Sparks Memorial Hospital at Fort Smith following an operation for appendicitis. Miss Allen had been a trained nurse for several years, having began her career in the Fort Smith hospital. Six years ago she graduated as a trained nurse and for a year was assistant superintendent of the Sparks Hospital and had entire charge of the hospital the summer the superintendent was in Europe. Miss Allen then took a post-graduate course in nursing at Los Angeles, Calif. and for sometime wwas superintendent of the Kings Daughter's hospital at Temple Texas. Miss Allen's remains were brought to Siloam yesterday morning and the funeral services were held this afternoon at the Christian church.
