WICHITA, Kan.-Pauline E. Walker, 73, former resident of Stambaugh, died May 2 in Wichita, where she had resided for many years.
The former Pauline Jachimski was born Aug. 7, 1914 in Lazarze, Poland, the daughter of the late Wanda and Izydor Jachimski. She was baptized in Rajgood [Rajgrod] Parish Catholic Church in Poland. In 1921, at the age of 7, she and her family immigrated to Stambaugh. She immediately enrolled in school and in 1932 graduated from Stambaugh High School. Upon graduation she was employed in Chicago, Ill. as a secretary and bookkeeper. She married Willard Walker in Chicago.
She is survived by her husband Willard of Wichita; a son Wayne Allan Walker of Wichita; two daughters, Wanda Baker of Wichita and Marcella Hronopulous of Norman, Okla.; a sister Alfreda LaBocki of Iron Mountain; two brothers, Harold Jachimski of La Habra, Calif. and Major Edwin Jachimski, U.S. Army, Retired, of Negaunee; nine grandchildren; five nieces; 11 grandnieces and nephews; and two great-grandnieces and nephew.
Visitation was held May 3 in Wichita, and services were held May 4 with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wichita.
Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery in Wichita.
