Bill, as he was known, was a member of the American Legion, and retired with 30 years combined, active service in the U.S. Air Force and Navy. Mr. Gallineau was a WWII veteran serving as a Naval corpsman, a Vietnam Veteran serving as an Air Force medic for two tours, and survived both the Attack on Pearl Harbor and Battle of Guadalcanal. While serving his country, he was stationed in Argentina, Australia, China, England, Fiji Islands, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Turkey, and Vitnam.
Bill loved to spend tinme with his great grandkids as well as traveling, relaxing outdoors, and enjoying nature.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Opal Bernice Gallineau; sons, Daniel Gallineau(Janet), Donald Gallineau(Debra), Ricky Gallineau; grandchildren, Danny Gallineau(Wendy), and Nathan Gallineau; great grandchildren, Olivia, Bailey, Bryce, and Aria; and brother, Neil Gallineau. He is preceded in death by his parents, Percy Gallineau and Evelyn Gallineau Wanet; step father, Joe Wanet; son, Gerald Gallineau; and brother, Milton Gallineau.
At his request a memorial service is not being held.
