Robert J. "Bobby" Boaz, 61, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012, at Ottawa Pavilion.

Funeral Service for Bobby will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Donton officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to service on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Burial will be at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.

Bobby was born December 22, 1951 in Ottawa, Illinois, to Charles and Constance (LeBeau) Boaz. He was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his mother, Connie Boaz; his children, Bobby (Pam), Steven (Alisa), Joey, Josh, Mike (Dawn) Boaz, and Blake, Rashawn, Amber and Ricky Newell; grandchildren, Jordan, Abby, Mackenzie, Deston, Logan, Kyler, Gavin, Ryia, Garrett, Colton, Michael, Noah, and Ronnie; his lifelong companion, Rene Newell; his sisters, Betty Mae Hogan and Mary Ann Smith; and a brother, Danny Boaz.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Boaz; three brothers, David, Kenny and Jerry Boaz; and his former wife, Diana (Hill) Boaz.

Pallbearers will be Robert, Steven, Joey, Josh, and Mike Boaz and Blake Newell. Honorary pallbearer will be Rashawn Newell.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
