Rev. J.C. Bigbee, 90, of Portland, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at The Bridges at Highland in Portland. Bigbee was a native of Robertson County, born the son of the late Neely and Ruth Bigbee.
Bigbee was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Lovie Bigbee earlier this year. One sister, Gladys Simmons also precedes him in death.
Bigbee was a member of Immauel Baptist Church in Portland, and an Army World War II veteran.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at Portland Funeral Chapel in Portland, with Bro. Brad Stevens officiating.
Burial followed in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
The family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church Bus and Ministry Building Fund 106 N. Broadway, Portland , TN 37148, or Mt. Moriah General Baptist Church, Mt. Moriah Rd. Portland, TN 37148.
Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Simpson County Honor Guard.
