Jeanette B. Tillotson
Ogden - Jeanette Bowns Tillotson, 96, formerly of 2657 Liberty, died Sunday, July 9, 1989 in Ogden.
She was born Dec. 16, 1982 in Almy, Wyo. a daughter of James Harrison and Jane Beverage Barton Bowns.
She married John Henry Tillotson on April 11, 1917 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died on Nov. 8, 1972.
She attended Weber Academy and the Smithsonian Business College for three years.
She was a secretary to several teachers at Weber Academy and she had worked at the Utah General Depot during World War II.
She had served as Relief Society President and on several Stake boards in all church capacities.
She had lived in teh 5th, 12th, 26th and 18th wars.
She and her husband served a Stake Mission for the Mount Ogden Stake.
She was a member of the Camp O. of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by one son and three daughters, Darrell B. Tillotson, Ron; Marvel T. Young, Brigham City; Mrs. kGerald (Clara T.) Waterfall, Issaquah, Wahington; and Mrs. Franklin N. (Jeanette T.) Doxey, Ogden.
13 Grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, Iras B. Marlin, Luguna Hills, Calif.
She was preceded in death by three borothers and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel where friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m.
