Lafayette Resident for 40 Years
Flavella Hash Colson, 69, longtime resident of Lafayette, died at her home there June 1. Funeral services were held Friday at Macy’s chapel with the Rev. James E. Dodds of Portland reading the service. Burial was in Brookside cemetery in Dayton.
Born at Newberg Aug. 31, 1868, she had lived at Lafayette for forty years. She married the late Henry T. Colson at Vancouver, Dec. 8, 1892.
She is survived by one daughter, Flavella Colson, Portland; a sister, Mrs. Clara Abernethy, Portland; and two granddaughters, Ida and Dorothy Dean.
She was a member of Banner Rebekah Lodge No. 53 of Yamhill.
