Death of Mrs Jacob C Prouty
Dolly H Prouty, 76, widow of Jacob C Prouty, died at her home in Ashfield yesterday morning. Mrs Prouty was the daughter of Olin Bardwell and had lived in Ashfield many years. She was a member of the Congregational church but had not been a regular attendant for several years. Quiet and unassuming, she was a woman greatly admired for her gentleness and kindly interest in all her friends. Mrs Prouty is survived by two sisters Mrs Jane Lilly of Westfield, Ia., and Mrs A W Clark of Ashfield. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home. Rev. M. S. Buckingham will officiate and the burial will be in the cemetery at Ashfield plains.
