PORTERVILLE – Graveside rites were conducted by the Porterville Elks Lodge Wednesday afternoon in Hillcrest Memorial Park for Ivan Robison, 67, who died in the Kaweah-Delta Hospital at Visalia of injuries suffered March 16 in an auto-truck accident north of Strathmore on Highway 65 at Avenue 224.

Mr. Robison’s wife, Genevieve, critically injured in the accident, is reported in satisfactory condition at Kaweah-Delta, The Robison’s were enroute to the hospital to visit his mother, Mrs. Rose Robison, who had been injured 10 days previously in another automobile accident. The elder Mrs. Robison is also said in “satisfactory” condition.

Mr. Robison had been owner-operator of Robison’s Automotive Repair on Main Street since the end of World War II. He was a native of Colorado and was brought to Porterville as a child by his parents, Mrs. Rose Robison and the late George Robison.
The deceased was a power boat enthusiast and racing his own boat won numerous awards.
Loyd Chapel was in charge of funeral arrangements.
