Walter S. Morgenstern, 80, Leawood, died Dec.26, 1993, at Baptist Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Central United Methodist Church, Kansas City; graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, Mo. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Newcomer's Overland Park Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Lions Eye Bank, in care of the Leawood Lions Club.
Mr. Morgenstern was born in Oregon, Mo., and lived in Sedalia before moving to this area in 1936. He worked for laundry services, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Leawood Lions Club. He was a member of the church. survivors include his wife, Doris Morgenstern of the home; a son, Walter W. Morgenstern, Gaithersburg, Md.; a brother, Charles Morgenstern, Raytown; two sisters, Hazel Roe, Sedalia, and Dollie Denz, Adrian, Mo.; three granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
