Odessa Lea May, 91, of Caddo Mills died Monday in Greenville. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rentfrow Funeral Chapel in Caddo Mills, which is in charge of arrangements.

CADDO MILLS – Odessa Lee Bethea May, formerly of Caddo Mills, died Monday in Greenville. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today in Rentfrow Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Boulter officiating.

Mrs. May was born Aug. 31, 1911, in Caddo Mills to Thomas Dickson Bethea and Maggie Bell McCants Bethea. On Dec. 30, 1948, she married Alvin V. May in Rockwall County. She was a housewife and a member of the Christian Church.

Surviving are nieces Frankie Morgan of Quitman, Nan Morrissey of Mansfield, Bettye Allison of Quinlan, Susan Burchett of Caddo Mills; nephews Jerome Johnston of Orange, Barney Bethea of Cedar Hill and Troy Bethea of Caddo Mills.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oct. 14, 1995; five brothers, Melvin Pedie, Dutch Thurman and Julius; one sister Birdie Mae Johnston.
