BLAKESBURG -- The funeral for Mrs. Achsa Stutz, 88, lifelong resident of Blakesburg who died at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield Tuesday morning, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Knedler Funeral Home with the Rev. James L. Postel of Trinity Episcopal Church in Ottumwa officiating. Burial will be in Blakesburg Cemetery. She had been living at Silver Haven Nursing Home in Bloomfield the past few months. She was born June 7, 1879, in Wapello County, the daughter of M. H. and Louise Abernathy. She was married Dec. 24, 1924, to Edward Stutz, who preceded her in death.
